This guy called DJ Soul commented on this album, gave it mad props, which it definitely deserves so I thought I'd put up what he said about "Redemption" coz he said it best!

DJ Soul
The Loyalists, "Redemption." This album is lyrically bulletproof. Planet Asia, Louis Logic feature.... The beats are fierce. So much music out there, but not like this. It's refreshing to hear a new a voice of hip-hop that has his own thing going on. Jaw-dropping content. Scratches/samples are on point! This album should not be slept on. My best independent album of 2008! Front to back, flawless. The emcee goes by Framework..... people need to get acquainted. Their best work yet.

Just to compound DJ Soul's remarks on the album I gotta point that out of all the slept on artists we've featured on That Realness, The Loyalists have received the most positive feedback from listeners. One of our visitors posted a comment something to effect of listening to this album gave him the same feeling he had when he first heard Blu spit(Blu & Exile - Below The Heavens - best album of 2007 - cop it). I cracked a smile when I read that because it's exactly the same thought that crossed my mind.

Framework's lyrical talent is second to none and I love this dude's voice! He varies his flow yet it is always controlled and commanding and somehow compels you to sit up and pay attention when he starts a verse. The featured artists on the album; Planet Asia, Louis Logic and particularly The Aztexts, all spit dope verses..none, however, manage to steal Framework's limelight. His skill is showcased on rapid fire tracks such as Machine Gun Alley, the throwback-drenched Impulsive Wandering and his double time exchanges with Logic on All In A Day's Work. More importantly, his dedication to the art is on show throughout, 'I'm authentic, paid dues, I'm cool headed; To move this entire room with a new sentence; They said I'd only be jaded at stayin' broke; But this the most anticipated album I ever wrote...I'll treat crowds of 10 as crowds of 10,000, outside of shows and ciphers freestylin'.' (Maximum) No doubt, they have different styles, but in the same way that Brother Ali (probably my fave emcee) throws his life into his words, it's clear that the driving force behind Framework is passion. "And you have to deal with the fact these cats have gotten massive; When known for sayin' nothin isn't only Charlie Chaplin.' (sick!) 'I'll always be flyest on the trapeze, I'm nasty, even on a budget of macaroni and Kraft cheese; I deal with any song though it was my last beat, and people watch me black out until my voice is raspy; Drying the sweat coming outta my pores, I serve this whole country the same as veterans of war..' (siiick) (Loyal Theory).
He's one of those artists that you could listen to no matter what he was spitting over, but on Redemption he rhymes over nothing but sick production courtesy of E-Train and Touchphonics (no longer with the group - no beef). One thing that elevates the production and their sound as a whole are the cuts. Praise jah for the cuts! The trio choose some poignant samples which, even over the contemporary beats, inject that old skool flava and will take you wayyyy back.

So, now you'd expect me to list all the negative points about this album so here goes.................................. uhm................................... well.............................. errr............................... *tumbleweed rolls by* ................................ahmm .................... mmhmm.................................
