The Prison Planet where our only hope is The East Coast Avengers. Esoteric (of 7L & Esoteric, Army of the Pharaohs), trademarc, and DC the MIDI Alien combine as the East Coast Avengers, a trio of Hip Hop rebels who have answered the call and take aim at Bill O'Reilly and the religious Right. If you haven't witnessed the frenzied media fall out and myspace censorship from ECA's singles "Kill Bill O'Reilly" (original version and music video are included here) and "Dear Michelle (Malkin)" do yourself and your country a favor and get on it... let no evil-doing pundit, talk show host, or politician be safe in America any longer.

This album is fuckin sick, Eso solidifies his rep as one of the illest MC's in the game and Trademarc is definitely on the up. DC handles all production and the results are amazing. Real hip hop for the non believers out there, do not sleep on this and support the artists!

With two solo records and a Jedi Mind Tricks' affiliated compilation of rare cuts and B-Sides under their belts (cumulative scans of 22,500+ units), Outerspace, the Philadelphia based duo of Planetary and Crypt The Warchild (and core members of the 40,000+ scanning Army of the Pharaohs supergroup), offer their third solo album: God's Fury. The tag team has been bubbling in the hardcore/underground scene ever since being taken under the wing of indie-powerhouse Jedi Mind Tricks. Now, with an entrenched profile in the indie hip-hop scene as well as the fully branded cosign of retail powerhouse Jedi Mind Tricks, Outerspace is poised to take the market by storm with the third installment in their already impressive solo discography. With features from Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Armaggedon (Terror Squad), Psycho Realm and fellow Army of the Pharaohs members King Syze, Doap Nixon, King Magnetic & Des Devious, God's Fury is another storied entry into the Jedi Mind Tricks/Army of the Pharaohs' affiliated group's catalog.

This album is dope, not as good as their first effort but probably as good if not better than their last album Blood Brothers. They decide to keep it close to home this time around by getting the majority of the AOTP camp on here. The beats didn't really jump out at me like they did on their last two albums but lyrically, they get better and better, especially Planetary, who is one of my favorite MC's from AOTP. I'd definitely day this is better than the Doap Nixon and King Syze albums, now it's left to JMT to see what kind of album they release for me to decide which is the best release from the AOTP camp this year. As it stands, this is the best one so far.

Army of the Pharaohs (AOTP) was initially conceived by lead emcee Vinnie Paz of the independent powerhouse group Jedi Mind Tricks. His vision was a constantly-evolving, collaboration of epic proportions that would include MC's, producers and DJ's. AOTP's first incarnation included Bahamadia, Jedi Mind Tricks, Chief Kamachi, 7L & Esoteric and Virtuoso and resulted in the wildly successful 12" single, "Five Perfect Exertions." The response was beyond all expectations and fans worldwide have clamored for more material ever since. 2006 saw the long awaited debut The Torture Papers, which has scanned 20,000+ units to date. The supergroup's sophomore offering, Ritual of Battle, reunites the winning formula, once again featuring the legendary lineup of underground emcees/artists including Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, Outerspace, Apathy, 7L & Esoteric, Celph Titled, Chief Kamachi, King Syze, Faez One as well as first time AOTP constituent (and renowned former Jedi Mind Tricks member) Jus Allah & many more. Of particular note (and to rabid core fan delight) is the inclusion of the first collaborative effort of original material between Jedi Mind Tricks' founding members Vinnie Paz & Jus Allah since 2000's Violent By Design. Ritual of Battle is released to heightened anticipation, shortly after Jedi Mind Tricks' return from a coveted slot on the entirety of the wildly popular Rock The Bells summer tour 2007.

King Syze is a core member of the Jedi Mind Tricks’ affiliated supergroup Army of the Pharaohs. Many have likened his witty, aggressive flow and his imposing presence on the mic to that of a young Big Pun.

Featuring a wealth of indie hip-hop’s most prominent players including fellow Pharaohs Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Ill Bill (Non-Phixion & La Coka Nostra), Apathy, Outerspace & more, King Syze is poised to take the aggro indie hip-hop market by storm with his highly anticipated sophomore offering, The Labor Union.

This album is a massive step up for King Syze from his last album in '06, "Syzemology". Lyrically and production wise Syze brings the truth on this release. I gave it a couple listens and was surprised at how much it grew on me. Most, if not all the tracks come correct, especially the ones that feature fellow A.O.T.P. members. My personal fave has to be the track called "And Now" which has Vinnie Paz, King Syze & Apathy spittin deep verses about how the download industry is killing their artistry, seriously, if this tune don't make you reach into your pockets and support real hip hop like this then you just a leach... show luv people, this album is dope!!

What do you get when you have a monstrous flow and a stature to match? The answer is King Magnetic. The 6'9 Pennsylvanian got involved in hip-hop in the early 90's. From rocking' house parties to 4 track demo tapes. Shortly after being kicked out of high school and serving 8 months in juvenile detention, Mag was sentenced to five-years. Using this time to further hone his rhyming skill (with help from Quarter Pound) Magnetic was finally granted work release with recording privileges. After making some regional noise, a parole violation had Magnetic maxing-out his 5-year sentence. Within four months he was facing up to fourteen years for drug & gun charges. Realizing you can't sprint your whole life Mag decided to slow down and start a family.

Magnetic never quite left the game completely. He could still be seen performing, gaining notoriety for his unmistakable flow, while producing tracks for some of PA's top Independent artists. Mag kicked the door down when he produced the Philly anthem "The Sound of Philadelphia" for Reef the Lost Cauze. It wasn't until 2006 after annihilating Penn's Landing stage in front of thousands with hip hop legends such as Redman, Wu-Tang & EPMD-there was no question it was the King's calling. Mag began to pen Everything's A Gamble Volume as a prelude for his Upcoming full-length debut. "Everything's A Gamble" features underground heavyweights Sean Price, Edo G, Chino XL, Copywrite amongst others. While recording his solo project, Mag was invited to appear on the legendary Army of the Pharaohs (AOTP) LP "The Ritual of Battle". Spearheaded by world-renowned Jedi Mind Tricks' front man Vinnie Paz. After standing out on tracks such as "Drama Theme" and Black Christmas", Mag earned a coveted spot in the Army of the Pharaohs.
