With two solo records and a Jedi Mind Tricks' affiliated compilation of rare cuts and B-Sides under their belts (cumulative scans of 22,500+ units), Outerspace, the Philadelphia based duo of Planetary and Crypt The Warchild (and core members of the 40,000+ scanning Army of the Pharaohs supergroup), offer their third solo album: God's Fury. The tag team has been bubbling in the hardcore/underground scene ever since being taken under the wing of indie-powerhouse Jedi Mind Tricks. Now, with an entrenched profile in the indie hip-hop scene as well as the fully branded cosign of retail powerhouse Jedi Mind Tricks, Outerspace is poised to take the market by storm with the third installment in their already impressive solo discography. With features from Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Armaggedon (Terror Squad), Psycho Realm and fellow Army of the Pharaohs members King Syze, Doap Nixon, King Magnetic & Des Devious, God's Fury is another storied entry into the Jedi Mind Tricks/Army of the Pharaohs' affiliated group's catalog.

This album is dope, not as good as their first effort but probably as good if not better than their last album Blood Brothers. They decide to keep it close to home this time around by getting the majority of the AOTP camp on here. The beats didn't really jump out at me like they did on their last two albums but lyrically, they get better and better, especially Planetary, who is one of my favorite MC's from AOTP. I'd definitely day this is better than the Doap Nixon and King Syze albums, now it's left to JMT to see what kind of album they release for me to decide which is the best release from the AOTP camp this year. As it stands, this is the best one so far.

Army of the Pharaohs (AOTP) was initially conceived by lead emcee Vinnie Paz of the independent powerhouse group Jedi Mind Tricks. His vision was a constantly-evolving, collaboration of epic proportions that would include MC's, producers and DJ's. AOTP's first incarnation included Bahamadia, Jedi Mind Tricks, Chief Kamachi, 7L & Esoteric and Virtuoso and resulted in the wildly successful 12" single, "Five Perfect Exertions." The response was beyond all expectations and fans worldwide have clamored for more material ever since. 2006 saw the long awaited debut The Torture Papers, which has scanned 20,000+ units to date. The supergroup's sophomore offering, Ritual of Battle, reunites the winning formula, once again featuring the legendary lineup of underground emcees/artists including Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, Outerspace, Apathy, 7L & Esoteric, Celph Titled, Chief Kamachi, King Syze, Faez One as well as first time AOTP constituent (and renowned former Jedi Mind Tricks member) Jus Allah & many more. Of particular note (and to rabid core fan delight) is the inclusion of the first collaborative effort of original material between Jedi Mind Tricks' founding members Vinnie Paz & Jus Allah since 2000's Violent By Design. Ritual of Battle is released to heightened anticipation, shortly after Jedi Mind Tricks' return from a coveted slot on the entirety of the wildly popular Rock The Bells summer tour 2007.

The Torture Papers is the debut album from Hip Hop collective Army of the Pharaohs, released March 21, 2006 on Babygrande Records. The crew was established in 1998 by Jedi Mind Tricks rapper Vinnie Paz, and originally featured Paz, Chief Kamachi, Esoteric, Virtuoso and Bahamadia. Virutoso and Bahamadia later split from the group, which now conists of Paz, Chief Kamachi, 7L & Esoteric, Apathy, Crypt the Warchild & Planetary of Outerspace, King Syze, Reef the Lost Cauze, Faez One, Des Devious and Celph Titled. An Army of the Pharaohs collaboration album was rumored to be in the works for years, but was often delayed due to separate projects and internal problems. The constant delays lead to The Torture Papers being one of the most anticipated underground Hip Hop albums of the new millennium.

A straight up classic for me, I love AOTP and this album should be in every real hip hop heads collection. The main standout MC's for me on this album were Reef The Lost Cauze, Apathy, Celph Titled, Chief Kamachi & Planetary. All have their part to play though in making this album a true nod to that gutter underground boom bap sound with murder-death-kill lyrics, it don't get much harder than this. Make sure you cop this if you ain't already... Long Live The Army!!!

The third official full-length release from 7L & Esoteric shows the maturity of the pair that has given us twelve straight years of raw Hip-Hop. 7L handles all the production save one J-Zone-produced banger and Esoteric shows why he is one of the most consistent and talented writers in the game today. The duo is supported by lyrical appearances from Army Of The Pharoahs (Vinnie Paz, Outerspace & King Syze), Demigodz (Apathy Celph-Titled, & Rise), MainFlow, & Boston vets Beyonder, KT & Uno The Prophet. Sit back, relax, and remember why you got into rap in the first place...7L & Esoteric proudly present DC2: Bars Of Death.

01. DC Theme

03. Loud & Clear
04. Rise Of The Rebel

16. Another Way Out
17. That's Right (Feat. Main Flow & K.T.)
18. Hidden Track 1
19. Hidden Track 2

FILI-
This albums really show why 7L is one of the best and most respected producers out there. Eso kinda lost a few people when his flow changed to this sort of lazy drawl where you couldn't realy make out what he was sayin. I mean compare his flow on this to the previous albums and you'll see what I mean. The beats really do shine here and Eso still does his thing on the mic. My particular favorite tracks are "Rise Of The Rebel", "This Is War" which features an early start for the now infamous A.O.T.P., "Grace Of Gods" which features a sick verse from punchline king Rise. Another standout is the excellent "Another Way Out". In my opinion, this classic material, and I appreciate it more because they really went in another direction, soundwise, for the next album, a bit too eclectic for me. So definitely cop this, a true representation of what real hip hop should sound like.

Jedi Mind Tricks affiliates and core Army of the Pharaohs members Outerspace offer the video to the first single off their new album,"God's Fury," in stores September 30th.

The visual accompaniment to "What the Future Holds" is as stunning as the sonic landscape created by Crypt and Planet: a bleak environment filled with a tinny and emotionally evocative soulful sensibility, heralding hard times to come. The often unseen landscape of a depressed and downtrodden Philadelphia neighborhood is captured as Crypt and Planet navigate their days.

The timing of this video is uncanny. As the financial institutions of the nation crumble, Outerspace gives us a glimpse of real people on the street, and the trials and tribulations that so many are forced to endure.

"What the Future Holds" is a "keep-your-head-up" anthem for those dealing with the realities of modern day life.

This mixtape showcases Philadelphia native, Kev Turner, who is a member of the Q-Demented squad along with Des Devious, OuterSpace, Faez One, Iron Kong, King Syze, L-Dorado and others. He has collaborated with a number of artists' including the Caen Project, One Dae and JbL and now brings forth his own project, aided by production courtesy of J-Slant. First, do not miss the Intro because it's actually dope and immediately lets the listener know that they have just encountered a skilled emcee and a talented producer: "So people hear me though; It's gon take a miracle; For y'all to ignore the boy, after y'all hear me flow; Hip Hop's my murder weapon, I scratched off the serial; Get in your girls guts, make honey nut like Cheerio; And she shall overcome without the negro spiritual; When the walls come tumbling down like Jericho." After that.. Kev doesn't let up and hits us with a string of energetic songs attacking each one with conviction. Y'all will love Bossin which is siiiick, perhaps the best joint on here. Sebmaestria on the boards chops up a sample from the 80's Cutting Crew hit, I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight, and with Kev rapping his ass off, if anything is even more passionate than the original. Next track? Another banga. I actually have ever heard this sample being used on a wack song and J-slant keeps up the tradition and does a wicked job making it his own on Hard Rhymes Hard Hittin. Kev Turner: "It's true, West Philly is a jungle like Jumanji; Guess you could say I got the Philadelphia Zoo behind me; Lions and tigers and bears, oh my are they grimey; Criminal generals busting nines that are shiney; And if you talk slick, them bulls'll kick your hiney; You' re not a man, you're a mouse tryna act too mighty; Style outta this world like a UFO sighting; The flying saucer author, rap alien when writing." Kev Turner shows himself to be a very capable emcee. His rhymeschemes are consistent, he's charismatic, he changes up his flow and at times he spits these little gems of wordplay that I found mad entertaining. If you're a fan of AOTP and if you've already checked out the individual members solo albums (King Syze, Doap Nixon, King Magnetic etc), then definitely peep this.

Blood Brothers is the second full-length from emcees Planetary and Crypt the Warchild -- collectively known as Outerspace. Executive produced by Vinnie Paz of Philly's Jedi Mind Tricks, the album boasts slicker production values and a more eclectic sound than the group's previous efforts.

Outerspace receives quality production from a roster of lower-profile producers. The best-known here are J-Zone and 7L, who turn in one track apiece. But the most impressive come from relative unknowns such as Sake ("Blood Brothers (Intro)" and "Silence") and the Paris-based 707 Team ("Spanish Fly").

Babygrande has been making a lot of moves lately as they've recently released the new 7L & Esoteric, a reissue of Violent By Design, and a September drop of Brand Nubian's new album to name a few. In between all of that they're also dropping Outerspace's (Crypt the Warchild and Planetary) first LP Blood & Ashes. Friends from nearly birth, the duo's brotherhood is closely tied in with Jedi Mind Tricks, thus a similar style is manifested. With guest microphone mathematics from Immortal Technique, Vinnie Paz, Esoteric, Celph Titled, King Syze and Sadat X as well as beats from Beyonder, 7L, Celph, Sat One and Panik of Molemen fame. More noise from Philly...

A definite classic in my book, the duo of Planetary & Crypt the Warchild of the famed A.O.T.P. fam drop a banger of a debut. With an ill sound similar to that of JMT but ultimately their own and a slew of talented guest stars who step up to the mic including underground intellectual MC, Immortal Technique, who closes the album on the brooding Angels of Death, old-skool stalwart Brand Nubian's frontman, Sadat X, and of course their main man, Vinnie Paz who transforms Blades of Glory into one of the album's stand-out tracks. These two dope MC's have risen from the shadows of Jedi Mind Tricks and dropped one the best debut's to come out in years!

King Syze is a core member of the Jedi Mind Tricks’ affiliated supergroup Army of the Pharaohs. Many have likened his witty, aggressive flow and his imposing presence on the mic to that of a young Big Pun.

Featuring a wealth of indie hip-hop’s most prominent players including fellow Pharaohs Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Ill Bill (Non-Phixion & La Coka Nostra), Apathy, Outerspace & more, King Syze is poised to take the aggro indie hip-hop market by storm with his highly anticipated sophomore offering, The Labor Union.

This album is a massive step up for King Syze from his last album in '06, "Syzemology". Lyrically and production wise Syze brings the truth on this release. I gave it a couple listens and was surprised at how much it grew on me. Most, if not all the tracks come correct, especially the ones that feature fellow A.O.T.P. members. My personal fave has to be the track called "And Now" which has Vinnie Paz, King Syze & Apathy spittin deep verses about how the download industry is killing their artistry, seriously, if this tune don't make you reach into your pockets and support real hip hop like this then you just a leach... show luv people, this album is dope!!

Hailing from the lost city of Camden, NJ, this emcee/producer represents one-third of the critically acclaimed Nuthouse crew. The group debuted in 1998 with the classic 12", A Luv Supream on Bobbito's fabled Fondle 'Em imprint. Goodvibe Recordings quickly followed up with a Nuthouse EP entitled Deez Nuts which featured cameos by El da Sensai (Artifacts), Planet (Outerspace) and Diamond Back (Deadly Snakes). Fel was also featured on the Dave Ghetto Love Life 12" (Counterflow Recordings) and the Embodiment of Instrumentation LP by Scratch from The Roots' (Rope-A-Dope/Atlantic Records).

*Review taken from amazon
Like the other reviewer i was originally searching for other stuff when i stumbled across this cat and decided to cop it on the cheap. I had heard that he was down with Dave Ghetto (who appears on 1 track+rips shop) so considering i had got his album+LOVED it i took a gamble. To be perfectly honest it turns out there was absoultely no gamble involved. This is what hiphop should be. ALL these so called rap artists getting major airplay should take a long look at themselves+realise the damage they're doing to hiphop by putting out these half a**ed albums, then go buy this for themselves+study how to make good music. Fel's flows-flawless, Fel's beats (yeah he does most of his own)-breathtaking. With the added help of the criminally underestimated ILLMIND and the very impressive STREET ORCHESTRA he creates a unique vibe that captivates you from the jump. I would've loved FEL to use the 2 remix tracks to do new songs with the beats. The tracks "lost children", "lust"(remix) and "hold back" would make this worth the money and should make any rap fan run out and cop this. Excellent, please support real hiphop like this!!!

Listen to track 11, "The Hold Back"

1. Intro
2. Awful Pretty
3. Lost Children
4. Dear Dad (Interlude)
5. Lust
6. Time
7. The Hierarchy featuring Poesh Wondah, Dave Ghetto & Fury
8. Any Last Words featuring L-Dorado
9. Lost Children (Remix) (Produced by Illmind)
10. Lust (Remix) (Produced by Esayel)
11. The Hold Back (Produced by Street Orchestra)
*All tracks produced by Fel Sweetenberg except where noted.

FOR THOSE THAT SLEPT!!!

This album is a straight up classic, do not sleep. Dude is mad nice on the mic and with the beats. Cop this along with the Dave Ghetto album, "Love Life?" and the brilliant new release, "Hustle Simmons"! I'll post up more stuff from the Nuthouse fam if there's positive feedback for these posts!

DJ Fakts One was a key figure in the Boston Hip-Hop scene for many years. He got his start djing parties and breaking local acts on WERS radio in the late '90's, through the popular "89.9 at Night" show. He dropped one of his first mix tapes (yes, on cassette) on the famed Brick Records titled "Heavy Hitters" and instantly started making noise throughout the state. Lending production to many releases by Mr. Lif and Akrobatik, it was inevitable that these three long-time friends would form a trio that was 100% pure hip-hop called The Perceptionists.

Although Fakts One’s departure left fans and friends both frustrated and confused, no one could deny his musical talents. Most just assumed that his highly anticipated debut opus “Long Range” would just become another victim of industry politics. It would be yet another rumored release that nobody would ever hear or could prove actually existed…until now. Finally, five years after its completion, “Long Range” will be released EXACTLY how he had intended before quitting the business. The album has some of the best MC's around (Little Brother, Planet Asia, Boot Camp Clik as well as his brothers in The Perceptionists; Mr. Lif and Akrobatik) and as one would expect, the beats are that classic boombap sound, drenched with his own blood, sweat and tears.
