"Absolutely Positive" is actually a bonus cut from the disc - which should go a long way to demonstrate the calibur of insanity that awaits you on the actual album. You may have gotten a taste of in the video from Pack's recent visit to P.O.W. Radio. So, we decided to play nice and make sure you had a crispy-clean copy to bump in the whip to tide you over until the record's release this summer.
Please spread these FREE and OFFICIAL QN5 MP3's and images across the internet, not MySpace rips and Photoshop edits.

Expertism Music Group is proud to announce the release of RUGGED INTELLECT's debut LP, entitled "Renaissance Music: The Introduction." The hottest newcomer in the industry, RUGGED INTELLECT's lyricism is compared to Rakim and Big Punisher, an easy and accurate comparison. Hailing from Montreal, Canada, Rugged's multi-lingualism combined with his multisyllabic, relentless rhyme schemes position him as a unique voice in the hip-hop industry. Production is handled by Domingo, Buckwild (DITC), Memo (Molemen), Montreal's Apokalyptik and Executive Producer Adam Sampler. The album was given 3.5 MICS in THE SOURCE MAGAZINE (May 2007), quite an accomplishment for a new artist with no major label backing!

Domingo is a producer from east NY that has crafted bangers for your favorite east coast emcees but gets no shine for whatever reason. On this release, the aptly titled The Most Underrated, Domingo provides vintage east coast boom bap for legends, vets, and necomers alike to get busy on. The results do vary, but the production end is solid. Names like Big Daddy Kane, Ras Kass, Canibus, Kool G. Rap,The Beatnuts, Tonedeff, Slug, Immortal Technique, Non Phixion, and Brother Ali show up to bless the tracks lovely. The end result is forty six minutes of dope hip hop music that's full of the grimy, boom bap sound reminiscent of '95.

01. Intro featuring Gino The Ginny
02. Bed Stuy Represent featuring Big Daddy Kane
03. Exactly featuring Joell Ortiz
04. Major Game featuring Guru
05. All Clap featuring Canibus
06. Cold World featuring Termanology
07. Street Hustle featuring Immortal Technique
08. Bootleg Interlude

10. Get Live featuring The Beatnuts
11. One Hundred Roundz featuring Kool G Rap
12. Next To Die featuring Deacon The Villain
13. Two Step featuring Born Unique
14. Caught Between Worlds (Remix) featuring Non Phixion
15. What's That featuring Precise
16. Easy Now featuring Tonedeff
17. Fuck You Mean featuring PackFM, Slug and Brother Ali

FILI-
This was a quiet one when it dropped last year, why? I got no idea because this album is bangin'!!! From the old skool mc's to the new skool, you got a bit of everything on here and you can't really go wrong when you got East Coast vet Domingo lacing the tracks with some good ol' fashioned throwback sounds. This was one of the most slept on albums by one of the most underrated producers in the game so do yourself a favor, download, enjoy and bump that shit loud! One more little thing, the last 2 tracks for me are my absolute favourites. Tonedeff is a legend and does a great narration over a latin tinged beat for Easy Now and the same can be said for the underground powerhouses of Rhymesayers labelmates Slug & Brother Ali and also QN5's punchline king PackFM, who absolutely murder the last track Fuck You Mean.

The smash follow-up to QN5's initial offering in the mixtape arena, Asterisk:Two blew the doors off every hip-hop compilation in 2003.

Asterisk:Two marked a new direction for the mixtape series, once again blended by DJ JS-1 . This time around, the label focused it's effort to provide a multitude of exclusive cuts as opposed to the general "mixtape" re-hashing on volume One. So, in essence, Asterisk:Two is actually a compilation and not a mixtape. With all original production and guest appearances by many QN5-affiliates, this edition flows effortlessly as a continuous mix for 80 minutes (including a special JS-1 hidden cut-track).

Contained on Two, are the now standard 'show-closers', "Beastin!" by Mecca and Session's cautionary "Don't Do It To Yourself", which along with PackFM's "Forever Shine" & Tonedeff's "Heavyweight" serve as super-sneak previews of each artists forthcoming solo albums.

Along with these new anthems, Two features some truly brilliant guest appearances. If there's one thing QN5 Music knows how to do - it's put production. Just take a listen to Carolina-native Supastition's "It's Over Now", and see how ferociously correct Domingo laced the beat. Also, Cashmere The Pro's "Grown Man B.I." features some of silky jazz keys and a thorough drum track courtesy of Kno.

01) Intro
02) QN5 Allstars - Slogans - Produced By Domingo
03) Breez Evahflowin - Give It Away - Produced By Tonedeff
04) CunninLynguists - Old School - Produced by Kno

11) Supastition - Its Over Now - Produced By Domingo
12) Mecca - Beastin - Produced by Domingo
13) Session - Don't Do It - Produced By Tonedeff
14) Mecca - Dimes (f/ Breez Evahflowin) - Produced by Kno

Following in the tradition of former indie-powerhouse, Rawkus Records, QN5 Music set out to create the next compilation that would serve as the definitve annual mixtape for the label. Asterisk:One is a collection of exclusive & previously released singles, freestyles and b-sides 100% produced or featuring QN5 artists. The main purpose of this CD's creation was to sell at Rocksteady Crew's 25th Anniversary Celebration in New York City in 2002.

Utitlizing the wonders of technology, the dextourously gifted DJ JS-1 mixed, chopped & blended the various QN5 cuts into one cohesive CD mixtape with no gaps or pauses between cuts. This is 72 minutes of non-stop hip-hop music. This would also mark the 1st of many collaborations between the DJ & the label.

Pressed as a CD-R style mixtape, Asterisk:One managed to introduce the label to countless throngs of hungry hip-hop heads, with such cuts as the Kno-produced, "Arrogant (f/ Substantial, Tonedeff, PackFM & Rise)" and the very first appearance of Extended Famm on "The Evil That Pens Do".

Although, much of what is contained on Asterisk:One is previously released material, there are a few truly EXCLUSIVE tracks that can't be found on any other release in their entirety. Tracks such as The Plague's now infamous "Most High (Plague Anthem)" (complete with a 13.5 syllables per second appearance by Tonedeff), Mr. Mecca's first CD appearance on "Alphamale" and Deacon The Villain's ridiculously infectious roller, "Woodgrain".

Although Asterisk:One pales in comparison to the concentrated effort for exclusivity made on sequel, the mere fact that this is THE FIRST QN5 MIXTAPE is reason alone to pick this one up.
