With number 1 charting singles and worldwide album sales, SoulStice and Haysoos are both accomplished artists in their own right. SoulStice has recently released the much-acclaimed album, "North by Northwest: Solid Ground" and has been featured in XXL, SCRATCH, URB, Elemental and many more. SoulStice hails from Chicago, but currently resides in Maryland where Haysoos calls home. Both taking prominent roles in the east coast hip hop scene, a few collaborations eventually led to the smash single "Rock Solid," featuring former Terror Squad member Cuban Link. The single was so successful that the duo began recording an entire album as Wade Waters, which is due out on Wandering Soul in the fall of 2006 with distribution through Raptivism/Ryko. With a sound that readily appeals to hip hop fans of all types and a rapidly growing domestic and international buzz, Wade Waters is the group to watch in 2006 and beyond.

The debut album, Dark Water, finds SoulStice and Haysoos collaborating with the legendary AZ on the LPs lead-single, "Speak On It" (produced by Analogic) and former Terror Squad member Cuban Link on the smash single "Rock Solid" (produced by Shuko). In addition, Wade Waters captures the signature sound of D.C./Maryland with the aid of up-and-coming producer Kev Brown, who contributes production on "That's My." Additional production is handled by Analogic, Speaks, Bring it Back, and SBE Audiologist. According to Neil Levine, head of Urban Marketing at EMI/Caroline, Dark Water is "a classic gem from Wade Waters bringing back real hip hop."

Won't say to much except if you ain't heard this album, then you're missing out on one seriously dope album. Every track is a banger, with lashings of that soulful boom bap we all love to hear. SoulStice & Haysoos are some intelligent MC's and really flow well together while spittin on a real positive vibe that everyone can relate to. This is an album you cannot afford to let pass you by, look at the producers!!! It don't better than that. Get familiar with the likes of Analogic, Shuko, SBE, Kev Brown because they are the future right here. If you haven't already, make sure you cop the SoulStice solo album he dropped in 2007 called Dead Letter Perfect, here's the link... Dead Letter Perfect... Really dope album which features production from another ill producer, Oddisee, as well as Analogic & SBE... don't sleep!

Immortal Technique has toured the world, being praised in publications like XXL, The Source, The Washington Post, Allhiphop.com, even Playboy and even the URB magazine cover in Nov.2006. Thought I'd do a re-up on this. Even though it's a mixtape/street album, it still stirred up a lot of debate with people automatically comparing it to his last to official albums. It took a while for it to grow on me, the commercial feel to a few tracks and the constant Green Lantern skits didn't help but over time you sort of adjust to the more polished sound because Tech still has that political mindset and always delivers his message with authority. You can never deny the man's skill and you have to appreciate his subject matter coz only a few can deliver it like he can and make you really site up and take notice. There are definitely a few bangers on here and without comparing it to his previous work, this is some dope shit! I mean, no album since 2003!!! Anything Tech drops now will be met with anticipation and excitement. I dig this now and definitely looking forward to his next official album, rumoured to be called The Middle Passage.

The Torture Papers is the debut album from Hip Hop collective Army of the Pharaohs, released March 21, 2006 on Babygrande Records. The crew was established in 1998 by Jedi Mind Tricks rapper Vinnie Paz, and originally featured Paz, Chief Kamachi, Esoteric, Virtuoso and Bahamadia. Virutoso and Bahamadia later split from the group, which now conists of Paz, Chief Kamachi, 7L & Esoteric, Apathy, Crypt the Warchild & Planetary of Outerspace, King Syze, Reef the Lost Cauze, Faez One, Des Devious and Celph Titled. An Army of the Pharaohs collaboration album was rumored to be in the works for years, but was often delayed due to separate projects and internal problems. The constant delays lead to The Torture Papers being one of the most anticipated underground Hip Hop albums of the new millennium.

A straight up classic for me, I love AOTP and this album should be in every real hip hop heads collection. The main standout MC's for me on this album were Reef The Lost Cauze, Apathy, Celph Titled, Chief Kamachi & Planetary. All have their part to play though in making this album a true nod to that gutter underground boom bap sound with murder-death-kill lyrics, it don't get much harder than this. Make sure you cop this if you ain't already... Long Live The Army!!!

Not sure how official this is, it's been floating on the net for a while so I thought I'd post it up coz I couldn't find it anywhere else. It's essentially A.O.T.P. material but from various albums and put together like a bonus cd. You should be able to know where each of these tracks were originally from. Enjoy!

Babygrande has been making a lot of moves lately as they've recently released the new 7L & Esoteric, a reissue of Violent By Design, and a September drop of Brand Nubian's new album to name a few. In between all of that they're also dropping Outerspace's (Crypt the Warchild and Planetary) first LP Blood & Ashes. Friends from nearly birth, the duo's brotherhood is closely tied in with Jedi Mind Tricks, thus a similar style is manifested. With guest microphone mathematics from Immortal Technique, Vinnie Paz, Esoteric, Celph Titled, King Syze and Sadat X as well as beats from Beyonder, 7L, Celph, Sat One and Panik of Molemen fame. More noise from Philly...

A definite classic in my book, the duo of Planetary & Crypt the Warchild of the famed A.O.T.P. fam drop a banger of a debut. With an ill sound similar to that of JMT but ultimately their own and a slew of talented guest stars who step up to the mic including underground intellectual MC, Immortal Technique, who closes the album on the brooding Angels of Death, old-skool stalwart Brand Nubian's frontman, Sadat X, and of course their main man, Vinnie Paz who transforms Blades of Glory into one of the album's stand-out tracks. These two dope MC's have risen from the shadows of Jedi Mind Tricks and dropped one the best debut's to come out in years!

One Dae is the greatest MC you've never heard of. Despite this he is a NYC underground legend. He first gained a name for battling Mos Def at the first Bragging Writes Mc Battle-but most people don't know that that was son's first time on stage. This was to be the first of many battles for the kid who would become one of Brooklyn's finest!

The Scrap Book Mixtape is an collection of original tracks which Dae has recorded over the last few years. They are Dae's re-introduction to the game after an abscence which left fans wondering..."Where's Dae?" Despite internet rumors of imprisonment in a foriegn jail and death, Dae is the neither and has returned to claim his rightfull thrown. Hosted by the god Sean P, The Scrap Book is just a prelude to Dae's feature full length lp Daes & Times, which is set to drop late summer 08. Features include Sean Price, Bekay, Tsi La Brev, Flood and many more...tracks by Shuko, Marco Polo, JbL, and hip hop vet Domingo make this mixtape/album a real heat-rock for the summer! Of all the remix projects of Jay-Z's "American Gangster", this is by far the best of the lot, just like Kno's remix project of "The Black Album". Shuko & The Gunna create some sick beats that will probably have you agreeing with a lot of people that this is better than the original release!!! You heard it here first! Check it out...
