The name Soul The Interrogator may only be hanging on the lips of Seattle residents at the moment, but get ready for a record that will launch this underground rapper to the level of Michael Jackson and the artist formerly known as Prince; well, not quite.

However, Prawdukt is an honest and transparent account of a man’s journey through a rough life and how he views his past, present, and future. With bangin’ tracks from such legendary producers as: Bean One, Smoke of Oldominion, Isaac Meek, Apoulo, and Nickels, this album guarantees to have an emotional pull as well as an ear pounding, chest caving, nose bleeding and a forever memorable sound.

Soul The Interrogator explodes onto the international scene with his debut release and a fist full of confidence, so if you see him at one of his performances, get ready to be enveloped into a world unique to not only him, but anyone else who has ever struggled to make it. His ability to relate to his audience and his reliance upon Christ as his strength is unprecedented and can easily be heard in every song.

Hailing from Indiana, Liberation is the debut set from CasOne, one of several up-and-coming underground rappers from the Midwest eager to show his angst-ridden emotions in the manner of Atmosphere and Brother Ali. With his blend of Slim Shady-era Eminem flow and a voice reminiscent of Defari, CasOne delivers a solid effort backed by varied head-nodding production. The best track is the Brother Ali collaboration “Flashbacks.” The soulful and introspective track finds both MCs reminiscing on past challenges over a backing of live drums and melancholy flutes. “Two Steppin’,” with its raw drums and piano melody, finds CasOne criticizing wallflowers, while incorporating a clever Goodie Mob reference. The heartfelt “Cope,” the banger “Masked Monikor” and the rock-influenced “Glass Walls” also stand out.

Unfortunately, some tracks fail to make an impact. The monotonous “Wings” recalls a bad Evidence song, the sloppy “Tight Rope” and synth-heavy “Babble On” don’t match the emotional intensity and musical backing of Liberation’s better moments. But with his talented storytelling abilities (as heard on “Distortion”), CasOne has a promising career ahead of him.

Nujabes is a Japanese hip-hop music producer and DJ who records under the name Nujabes. Nujabes is an anagram of his first name (Jun) and last name (Seba) spelled backwards and combined. Besides making music, he is also an owner of "T Records" and "Guinness Records" (both record stores in Shibuya, Tokyo), and runs Hyde-Out Productions, an indie record label. He has released two CD albums in Japan, Metaphorical Music in 2003 and Modal Soul in 2005. He has also contributed music to the soundtrack of Samurai Champloo (with Shing02), an anime which blends a setting in feudal Japan with modern anachronisms, especially hip-hop music. In addition to Japanese artists like Uyama Hiroto, Shing02 and Minmi, he has collaborated with underground American hip-hop acts Cyne, Apani B-Fly, Five Deez, Substantial, and with British rapper Funky DL. His music is known for a strong cool jazz influence, frequently using samples from artists like Miles Davis and Yusef Lateef. He is also a member of the production duo "Urbanforest", an experimental collaboration with Nao Tokui (appearing on the Lady Brown 12").

Who is The White Shadow Of Norway? The White Shadow is a Hip-Hop producer and turntablist from Norway, who’s been holding it down for years in the underground, and now is ready to take the world by storm with his new album ‘Untouchable’. FILI-
Yo, this compilation right here is a straight fiyah!!! I Can't believe I slept on this dude. If you've been enjoying the sounds of another up-coming producer from Sweden called "Sentense" then make sure you check out this ill producer, also from Sweden. The beats are nothing short of amazing, especially considering this came out in '03. He makes the kind of soulful boom bap beats that people would be used to hearing more recently. This dude might've even laid down the blueprint for that particular sound, no word of a lie! Make sure you pop this in ya trunk and bump it hard. Banging beats ahead of it's time (remember this is '03) and guest spots from some legendary MC's including KRS-One, O.C, Wordsworth, A.G., Big Daddy Kane, Planet Asia & more, you'd be crazy to sleep on this classic gem!

Peace. This is Homeboy Sandman. I do my own stunts and I write my own bios.

I'M PROUD TO CALL THE CONCRETE JUNGLE MY HUMBLE ABODE
DROPPED A COUPLE RECORDS, 'BOUT TO DROP A COUPLE A MO'

I come from Queens, but I rep NYC as a whole as well as all humankind.

I make rap records as my life's responsibility. I've got two dope albums out, my first, "Nourishment (Second Helpings)," which dropped fall '07 and my latest, "Actual Factual Pterodactyl," which dropped summer '08. In addition I have a 33 track mixtape out called "There is No Spoon" that also dropped summer '08. Chances are you could download it for free where ever it is you're reading this bio.

I RECIEVE A LOTTA ACCOLADES, I STILL ACT AMAZED
I AM ALL THAT AND A BAG OF LAYS AND NOT AFRAID TO SAY IT

I've got some good credentials. I got Unsigned Hype in The Source summer '08. I was just named Best Hip Hop Act in NYC by New York Press. I won the TAG Records Emcee Competition for NYC, (that's Jermaine Dupree's label), making me a national finalist (they're still completing the national tour so I gotta hold up a sec before I get my shot at becoming National Champ). I'm a Ralph McDanial's Video Music Award Winner and am working on a video with Uncle Ralph that'll be out by winter '08. I was the inaugural winner of End of the Weak's Strongest New Artist Award. I was selected to perform in Hot 97's " Who's Next?" Series. Cats recognize.

YA'LL MUF*CKAS GONNA PLAY MY SH*T
SHEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

I get a lotta radio burn. Peter Rosenberg just started showing me love on Hot 97.1FM. Mr. Len be spinning my ish all the time on Spitkicker Radio, XM Satellite Channel 45. Sucio Smash be spinning my ish all the time on Squeeze Radio 89.9 FM Thursday late late nights, as does DJ Eclipse on The Halftime Show 89.1 FM Wednesday Nights. (These are the two most legendary underground hip hop shows in NYC history) I got some shine on Sirius Satellite too with Rude Jude and Lord Sear on the Shade 45 Station. DJ Sarah Love be spinning my ish heavy out in London on BBC Radio. Ed Lover reviewed my live show on Power 105.1 FM and lauded it into the ground. He even started singing "iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish," (he couldn't curse 'cause he was on the radio).

YOU MUST BE DREAMING LIKE AL.B SURE IF YOU THINK I TAKE SHORTS . . .
MY NAME ALL IN YOUR MOUTH LIKE SPOONS AND FORKS

I get discussed. I touched on my feature in The Source earlier. I've also recieved mention in XXL, as well as features in Beyond Race Magazine, and New York Press (full page bwoy!). Us living in the cyber-era, the majority of my press is of the internet variety. I've been featured on pretty much every major hip hop website/blog on the information superhighway, including but not limited to Allhiphop.com, HipHopDX.com, Okayplayer.com, NahRight.com, Loud.com, Ballerstatus.com, HipHopLinguistics.com, PardonMeDuke.com, and so on and so forth. I can go on and on, but Nahright.com deserves special mention as the primary (even though it winds up spreading everywhere, which is dope) carrier of my internet live show series "Live From . . .," which has worked wonders for my own the street recognizability (nothing better than getting recognized in the street when you're with a chick).

Giant Panda has returned! Giant Panda's debut album, Fly School Reunion, dropped in 2005 and was received by unsuspecting ears that caught the raw sounds bursting forth. With their sophomore effort however, Giant Panda has evidently 'graduated'. Electric Laser is the name of the game, and GP plays it well. The production, foremost, is in many ways its predecessor, and yet it isn't . The drums still bang, with snares and kicks dominating the forefront of a large portion of the production. However, the melodies, chops, and loops aren't 'traditionally' jazzy or funky (that's not to say they don't have that type of quality, so to speak). Rather, thick, electro-fused samples are laced deep in the cuts of this record providing a much more futuristic but very present musical landscape. A track such as 'Justin Case' is a nice introduction to newcomers (just in case you didn't know) but also an introduction to the style of the album to already established fans of Giant Panda. The writing on the album is what makes it stand out more prominently for those already aquainted to GP. Humor (see 'CinemaX', 'Do The Robot In Cyberspace') and more serious notes (see 'AIM', 'Let It Go') are found all throughout the album, showing a different side of the Panda's fur. Like a caged animal, Giant Panda can rage with speaker pumpin' tracks such as 'Speakers Pop' and 'Speakers Funk'. The album was also recorded and mixed on analog tape, giving it extra warmth and harmonic punch. Overall Electric Laser is a step foward for Giant Panda, but still honors its true school mentality for their original fans.
