Going through withdrawal for some new Finale before the official debut album drops? No worries, we’ve got you covered. With a release date right around the corner, some artists would be celebrating, resting on their laurels even. For Finale, whose debut album, A Pipe Dream And A Promise, is being released April 7 via Interdependent Media, rest is not an option. Finale is staying hard at work in the studio, and instead of hogging all that good music for himself, he has released pre-album mixtape, T.I.M.E. (Think. Innovate. Move. Endure.) for free download.

The mixtape finds Finale at his best, giving fans a taste of the wide range of his artistic diversity. On the opening track, the soulful “Run It Back,” Finale wastes no time showing off his water-like flow and lyrics. Seeming to never run out of breath, Finale raps, “As I gather, replaying images and memories / I watch, and easily can see there’s not another spot I’d rather be / When I leave, I know we ain’t done/ And some of y’all act/ Like the city ain’t sitting on your back.” Elsewhere, on the track “Saturday,” Finale proves that his words flow off the tongue just as smoothly when spitting at a girl as when spitting at a foe. On “Jungle Music,” Finale takes listeners straight to a Detroit club with a double-time bounce and a double-time flow to match. Although short, with T.I.M.E. Finale gives fans free quality music to hold them over until the release of A Pipe Dream And A Promise.

01. Run It Back (Prod. by Rashid Hadee)
02. Ice (Prod. by DJ Final)
03. Mr. Cooper
04. Saturday (Prod. by Slimkat78)
05. Jungle Music (Prod. by Nick Tha 1da)
06. It's All Love (Prod. by Ghost)
07. Bad Newz (Prod. by Knowledge Beatz)
08. Patience
09. Bang Bang (Prod. by Apollo Brown)
10. Pick Up the Pieces
11. Go Blind
12. Life Goes On (Prod. by Djimon)

Another TR Exclusive, enjoy and support! Don't forget to cop the dope album "A Pipe Dream & A Promise" released April 7th!!!

Ahhh, the sweet smell of victory!! A long an arduous project (nearly three months in the making!), "Preservation" (mixed by DJ Ragz) is finally here!! A big thanks goes out to DJ Ragz for all his countless hours of dedication and attention to detail, St. Mic for tightening up the sound quality, Shiro for the cover art and Derek at Sneaker Politics for his input as well! Most importantly, thank you to all the contributing artists featured on "Preservation" who gave me the "OK" to pursue this project!
"Preservation" is something that Ragz and I are extremely proud of, I hope that you, the listener, will appreciate it as well! "Preservation", simply put, is a compilation of sorts that I put together in order to highlight some of my favorite artists over the last two or so years. The amount of time and effort that Ragz and I dedicated to this project truly shines through on "Preservation", as I stated last week: "This ain't just your regular mixtape"! St. Mic sums it up perfectly with his opening bars from the "Intro": "This is a dedication, to preservation/For authors in this art form/Seekin' elevation…". The sound quality is perfect, the tracks are ridiculous and Ragz' cuts are as sharp as a razor's edge. "Preservation" plays more like a cohesive "album" than a mixtape…ENJOY!!!
DJ Ragz: "Im really amped to be a part of the "Preservation". There really is some dope hip hop out there and I really feel that this mix helps you learn about artists that are still making great music. All of these artists gave us approval to use their songs, so if you like what you hear, go support that person's project. Big ups to Eric for directing this project and being flexible at the same time. This mix was treated like an album so we spent time to bring you a quality project. Please help us get the word out and tell a friend about it. It will be your part to preserve this art!!"

Guys! These cats are hot, good production matching well connected and very intelligent rhymes. Chapter 13's style is just like Little Brother/9th wonder but only deeper. I'll rate these cats as the best in the game alongside Little Brother.
Get this CD and support real Hip Hop.
On the real though, this is by far the best CD I've bought in years!!

Had to post this again as the link was dead, plus the album dope as hell, don't sleep on Rashid Hadee, the next big MC/Producer after Bronze Nazareth & Black Milk!

He has been compared to 9th Wonder in terms of production, but while on that soulful tip, Hadee definitely has his own distinct sound particularly the way he chops his samples. If tight production ain't enough, he flows incredibly well over his beats with honest rhymes that we can all relate to. This is a dope album, featuring fellow Chapter 13 members, which showcases Hadee's talents and puts him up there as Man of the Moment. Look out for this dude, he's everywhere!

Just when you thought rap music would never regain its integrity, and the essence of the art form was permanently replaced by all that glitters, unrealistic street tales (that manifest into jail time) and fatalities, here lies a beacon of hope. Olskool Ice-Gre, best known as the male half of the Chicago Hip Hop duo Abstract Mindstate, is the light at the end of a dark tunnel that has been labeled Hip Hop. A true emcee since the glory days of his group, this Southside Chi native never abandoned the roots of what made Rap music the most viable genre. Raised in the Englewood community, a section of the city that has earned status as the highest crime rated area in Chicago has yet to influence a line of content in Olskool’s poetry. He chooses to rhyme about hope, relationships, faith and life from a regular guy perspective. His penchant for wordplay, metaphors and double entendre’s transform everyday dialogue into a thought provoking conversation piece. It’s all about the art to Ice-Gre which is why Olskool is the prefix to his name. " I added Olskool to my name years ago. It’s my way of showing respect to the forefathers as well as embracing the term Old School which is the period in Hip Hop that inspires me most.". These days you can find Olskool Ice-Gre spending equal time in Los Angeles and Chicago working on various music related projects. If you’re a person who enjoys honest, truthful, intelligent lyrics over hard hitting soulful beats then Olskool Ice-Gre Tha Gud Dr. can make a house call.

Abstract Mindstate presents…Chicago’s Hardest Working Mixtape Vol.3: The Celebration! Released on 4 The Soul-Reciprocity Inc., this release was produced entirely by Chicago up and coming producer/emcee Rashid Hadee who was featured in the Oct ’07 issue of XXL Magazine. V3 will undoubtedly go down in Chicago’s Hip Hop history books. Packed with an all-star cast of emcee’s who all have earned pioneer status in The Go, this mixtape could only be dubbed “The Celebration”. If the sub-title conjures thoughts of Dave Chappelle’s Rick James skit, you’re right on point. Those who have a sharp ear for production will appreciate Rashid Hadee's chopped, sliced and diced production style that takes you back to the golden era. The concept of V3 was the brain child of Olskool Ice-Gre (the male half), who accepted his role years ago as the go to person when it came to hooks and/or song ideas. He knew no one could bring his vision to life with better precision than Rashid Hadee.

The guest list on this soon to be classic, reads like a “who’s who” of the Chicago Hip Hop/ music scene. The artists who came to party include 3 heads from the All Natural Inc. music family; The Primeridian, Iomos Marad and Tone B. Nimble, 2002 WGCI Home Jam Artists Hall of Fame (Abstract Mindstate won in 2000), underground legend Stedy Serv, CTA Radio’s own Pugs Atomz & Thaione Davis (WHPK 88.5FM), true B-Girl femcee Ang 13, internationally known wordsmith Malik Yusef, pioneer emcee O Type Star, 3 time Apollo winner and veteran vocalist Cristina (Sanchez), Rhymesayers Entertainment signee and veteran femcee Psalm One, the aforementioned Rashid Hadee (Neblina Records) and last but not least 4 The Soul-Reciprocity’s own; Dre Cagney and Trizonna McClendon. V3 is Abstract Mindstate’s way of showing love and respect to the veteran artists who have made an impact on the Chicago Hip Hop/ music scene regardless if they’re on the nationwide radar or not. Abstract Mindstate considers this their “pioneer party”.

It’s a major accomplishment to earn a title as serious as Chicago’s hardest working rhyme duo but no group is more deserving than the Windy City’s own Abstract Mindstate. E.P Da Hellcat aka The White Lotis and Olskool Ice-Gre aka Tha Gud Dr. have put in more work than the construction crews in downtown Chicago. Five 12 inch records, 1 seven song ep, 1 national released but poorly handled album (We Paid Let Us In), an unreleased album (Still Paying) and 2 mixtapes later the self proclaimed Wonder Twins of the Windy refuse to throw in the towel. The second installment of their mixtape series is aptly titled: Chicago’s Hardest Working Vol. 2 (Project Soul). This time around the male/female duo opted for a more focused effort using producer Rashid Hadee's soulful production style as the inspiration to deliver lyrics deep from within. The group says they came from the soul, which is what makes the subtitle of Vol.2 so significant. Abstract Mindstate found a way to address heavy and sometimes serious issues without coming off so serious and heavy. Unlike its playful predecessor, the male/female duo use this mixtape to get a lot of their chest. Any Hip Hop purist will love this mixtape but if you're simply a fan of good music you'll also find enjoyment in the grooves and melodies that accompany the very meaningful lyrics constructed by Chicagp's hardest Working Rhyme Duo.

Listen to track 6, "Explode"

Serenade for the Moment EP released by Soulspazm Records features Analogic providing the beats and Rashid Hadee on the rhymes.

*a-FILI-ated*
This a must have EP!!! Analogic is one of my favorite producers right now, along with Rashid Hadee but here, Analogic handles all the beats, and it's nothing short of amazing. Listen to "Expode" and you'll see what I mean and Rashid Hadee, he rips the mic up, probably one of the best Producer/MC's out right now now, up there with Bronze Nazareth. I'll post up more stuff related to Analogic so you guys can see how good this guy really is on the boards.

01 Serenade for the Moment
02 The Awakening (feat. GQ)
03 Fightin Words (feat. EAST)
04 Timeless
05 Memory Lane
06 Explode
07 Don't Wanna Be Right
