King Syze is a core member of the Jedi Mind Tricks’ affiliated supergroup Army of the Pharaohs. Many have likened his witty, aggressive flow and his imposing presence on the mic to that of a young Big Pun.

Featuring a wealth of indie hip-hop’s most prominent players including fellow Pharaohs Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), Ill Bill (Non-Phixion & La Coka Nostra), Apathy, Outerspace & more, King Syze is poised to take the aggro indie hip-hop market by storm with his highly anticipated sophomore offering, The Labor Union.

This album is a massive step up for King Syze from his last album in '06, "Syzemology". Lyrically and production wise Syze brings the truth on this release. I gave it a couple listens and was surprised at how much it grew on me. Most, if not all the tracks come correct, especially the ones that feature fellow A.O.T.P. members. My personal fave has to be the track called "And Now" which has Vinnie Paz, King Syze & Apathy spittin deep verses about how the download industry is killing their artistry, seriously, if this tune don't make you reach into your pockets and support real hip hop like this then you just a leach... show luv people, this album is dope!!

Lil' Dap is one of the founding members of legendary hip-hop crew "Group Home." Originally cutting his teeth in New York in the late 80's, Dap is a product of the renowned New York "Golden Era" of Hip-Hop. Raised on the streets, Dap found his solace in music, assisting in the formation of legendary group Gangstarr (DJ Premier, Guru), and his own crew, Group Home. Group Home's "Living Proof" has scanned over 130,000 + units to date and solidified Dap as one of the frontrunners of the "Golden Age" era. Dap's career has since seen consistent and sustained visibility in the form of an aggressive touring schedule over the last few years including visits to Germany, Morocco, France, Japan and most of the globe. With features from Treach (Naughty By Nature), Guru (Gang Starr) and many more, "I-A-DAP-T" is Dap's long awaited solo opus and a reinvigoration of the classic "Golden Age" sound that both defined and continues to influence an entire generation of emcees.

It is urban legend that Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side Of The Moon", if started on the third roar of the MGM lion, synchs up with the movie picture "The Wizard of Oz". The new 12-track Problemaddicts album, "The Dark Side Of Oz", is "The Dark Side Of The Moon" remixed with the SOUNDTRACK of "The Wizard Of Oz", playing on the sonic consistencies of this phenomenon. The project holds the spirit of a mash up Hip Hop concept album, yet is far from limited to the Rap demographic. Enjoy!

One of the most critically acclaimed West Coast emcees of all time, Ras Kass is renowned for his complex lyricism, sharp battle rhymes and witty punchlines. 1996's debut "Soul On Ice" established Ras as one of the front-runners of the post West Coast gangsta rap movement pioneered by seminal acts such as N.W.A. and nationally popularized by modern day icons Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg & more. Marrying a hardcore street sensibility with his signature witty wordplay, Ras built a loyal underground core with subsequent albums including 1998's "Rasassination," featuring guest appearances by Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Twista & RZA (of Wu-Tang) as well as multiple mixtape releases. Currently serving time, Ras Kass' ambition in the face of adversity is on full display with the August 5th bow of "Institutionalized Vol. II." Sure to satisfy Ras' loyal constituency and beyond, "Institutionalized Vol. 2" is a testament to both Ras' resilience and the raw skill that underlies his longevity within the ever-changing hip-hop landscape.

Just when you thought rap music would never regain its integrity, and the essence of the art form was permanently replaced by all that glitters, unrealistic street tales (that manifest into jail time) and fatalities, here lies a beacon of hope. Olskool Ice-Gre, best known as the male half of the Chicago Hip Hop duo Abstract Mindstate, is the light at the end of a dark tunnel that has been labeled Hip Hop. A true emcee since the glory days of his group, this Southside Chi native never abandoned the roots of what made Rap music the most viable genre. Raised in the Englewood community, a section of the city that has earned status as the highest crime rated area in Chicago has yet to influence a line of content in Olskool’s poetry. He chooses to rhyme about hope, relationships, faith and life from a regular guy perspective. His penchant for wordplay, metaphors and double entendre’s transform everyday dialogue into a thought provoking conversation piece. It’s all about the art to Ice-Gre which is why Olskool is the prefix to his name. " I added Olskool to my name years ago. It’s my way of showing respect to the forefathers as well as embracing the term Old School which is the period in Hip Hop that inspires me most.". These days you can find Olskool Ice-Gre spending equal time in Los Angeles and Chicago working on various music related projects. If you’re a person who enjoys honest, truthful, intelligent lyrics over hard hitting soulful beats then Olskool Ice-Gre Tha Gud Dr. can make a house call.

Born in East Flatbush, Okai began beating on anything he could get his hands on at the age of five. By the time his twelfth birthday came along hip hop had exploded and his ears were infected by the conscious sounds of collectives like The Natives Tongues, Leaders of The New School and Haitian band Boukman Eksperyans, to say the least. As his skills as an MC grew and his talents as a percussionist followed Okai began to go hard for his. He started doing madd shows like, opening for Billal at CBGB’s, showing off his one of kind percussion skills at the 2006 Latin Grammy’s at Madison Square Garden on stage with Louis Fonsi. And also performing with percussion group the Drumadics at the Fire House Theater in Portland, Oregon. He also opened for ?uestLove, of the Roots at S.O.B’s.
Although most MC's pass around the term conscious like a blunt in a cipher, Okai is the one that actually inhales. As an immediate descendant of Haitian immigrants, Okai has an ear to the world and is tuned in to the struggle of the less fortunate. He recently gave a lecture at the United Nations on Haitian immigration and politics and also performed in Toronto, Canada at Gulu Walk, a fundraiser for the children of Uganda. Okai chose his name as homage to his homeland; it’s the name of the city his family is from. While on the grind Okai got offered a deal on independent label in early 2005, and got up with legendary hip hop producer Ayatollah to create Dekonstruktion of the Mind.

Contacts + Contracts is the first full length release from the very talented and versatile producer D-Tension who has worked for Edo G with Tajai and Casual of Hieroglyphics, Krumbsnatcha, Thirstin Howl III, Akrobatik and many others .This album ranges from the quality intelligent lyricism of Mr Lif’s Trouble Shooting and Encore’s It’s Time to the sexual exploits of Thirstin’ Howl’s Orgasms and L-Fudge’s Hunt’s Point to the cutting and scratching whirlwind that is 7L’s Who’s That. Also you can find the battle rhymes of Thin Line and D-Tension’s hilarious self criticizing ‘My Fashion Statement’. All this over an eclectic mix of neck snapping instrumentals, strung nicely together with interludes that would make Prince Paul proud.

What do you get when you have a monstrous flow and a stature to match? The answer is King Magnetic. The 6'9 Pennsylvanian got involved in hip-hop in the early 90's. From rocking' house parties to 4 track demo tapes. Shortly after being kicked out of high school and serving 8 months in juvenile detention, Mag was sentenced to five-years. Using this time to further hone his rhyming skill (with help from Quarter Pound) Magnetic was finally granted work release with recording privileges. After making some regional noise, a parole violation had Magnetic maxing-out his 5-year sentence. Within four months he was facing up to fourteen years for drug & gun charges. Realizing you can't sprint your whole life Mag decided to slow down and start a family.

Magnetic never quite left the game completely. He could still be seen performing, gaining notoriety for his unmistakable flow, while producing tracks for some of PA's top Independent artists. Mag kicked the door down when he produced the Philly anthem "The Sound of Philadelphia" for Reef the Lost Cauze. It wasn't until 2006 after annihilating Penn's Landing stage in front of thousands with hip hop legends such as Redman, Wu-Tang & EPMD-there was no question it was the King's calling. Mag began to pen Everything's A Gamble Volume as a prelude for his Upcoming full-length debut. "Everything's A Gamble" features underground heavyweights Sean Price, Edo G, Chino XL, Copywrite amongst others. While recording his solo project, Mag was invited to appear on the legendary Army of the Pharaohs (AOTP) LP "The Ritual of Battle". Spearheaded by world-renowned Jedi Mind Tricks' front man Vinnie Paz. After standing out on tracks such as "Drama Theme" and Black Christmas", Mag earned a coveted spot in the Army of the Pharaohs.

This is the official digital release, not the mixtape version from last year. Don't sleep on King Mag, if you peeped A.O.T.P.'s "Ritual of Battle", you should already know about this dude. He's got a sick flow and rips every track track he spits on. King Mag is also about to release his next mixtape called "The Co-Sign". Click here for more details.

Yo, this shit right here is pure comedy.
Apparently, some british herb (from the Conspiracy UK Radio) phoned Necro for an interview. But Necro didn't share any interest in this interview and just made fun of the interviewer. Things got heated and they were insulting each other. At the end, the british bloke was furious and near crying. You gotta listen all the way to the end, this so called DJ gets murdered by Necro, and the way he goes all high pitched and screaming after Necro hangs up is too funny!!!
Don't miss it, good times !

M-Phazes is the perfect example of a diamond in the rough. Born and raised in the Gold Coast of Australia and relatively isolated from Hip Hop culture, M-Phazes has carved a place for himself among Australia's Hip Hop elite and is putting Australia on the global Hip Hop map.

His style is best described as a combination of Neo-Soul & Boom Bap with a modern twist. Drawing inspiration from producers like J Dilla, Battlecat, DJ Premier & Pete Rock, M-Phazes has forged an original sound that is uniquely his own. As soon as the beat drops, you know it another M-Phazes classic.

With 9 years of production work under his belt and over 50 releases all over the world, M-Phazes has moved from strength to strength. Landing his first significant release on Supastition’s 'Chain Letters' in 2005, M-Phazes has been unstoppable since. His discography reads like a who’s who of underground US Hip Hop with his beats being blessed by artists like Pharoahe Monch, CL Smooth, Edo G, Royce Da 5’9, Elzhi, Freeway, Termanology, Sean Price, Othello, Wordsworth and many more.

01. Sniper Elite Feat. MF Doom
02. Murder Goons Feat. Ghostface Killah
03. Sniper Elite & Murder Goons (Bonus) Feat. MF Doom & Ghostface Killah

In late 2005 Ghostface Killa and MF DOOM were both recording over tracks from J Dilla's instrumental opus, Donuts, which saw release the following February. Some of these were released on Ghostface's Fishscale in 2006, while others, including a Dilla-Doom project, were postponed indefinitely after J Dilla's passing. Two of these tracks, “Sniper Elite” and “Murder Goons,” are presented here for the first time. The two are taken from two sequential songs off Donuts, meant to mix together. We are presenting the two songs unmixed, plus the two mixed together as a bonus track.
